Vault Appointments and Remote Access Accounts


Access to our land records is available through our remote system. To open an account, please contact us at mwatson@fayettecountyclerk.com or (859) 253-3344 for information and an application. There is a $200.00 connection fee to initialize your account.

Beginning Thursday, July 23rd, we will allow research appointments in the Vault.

  • Appointments will be in 1.5 hour blocks from 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. (ending at 4:00 p.m.).  You may schedule concurrent appointments.  Several missed appointments may result in future appointments being cancelled.
  • Masks are required.
  • No food or drink other than bottles with secure caps may be brought into the Vault. 
  • The paralegal work space has been closed off and will be repurposed with roller shelving.  If you have any personal belongings there, please retrieve them during an appointment time slot.  Anything left after August 30, 2020 will be discarded.
  • You are responsible for cleaning your workstation with the provided materials prior to your departure.
  • You may bring 1 book at a time to the counter for copies due to the addition of plexiglass shields on the counter. All copies must be made prior to the end of your appointment time.
  • Check-in is at the 2nd floor entrance of the Helix Garage.  If you leave the building during your appointment, you must come back through the check-in entrance.
  • Proceed to Room 132 and check-in with the staff at the counter.  You will receive a card to display with your scheduled departure time.
