Seal of Approval

A manufactured home/mobile home or a previously owned recreational vehicle (camping trailer, travel trailer or motor home), which was purchased out of Kentucky, must provide proof that a Seal of Approval was purchased.

The Seal of Approval Inspection:

  • Must be completed by the Manufactured Housing Inspector or a certified dealer
  • The yellow copy of the HBC-40 Seal Inspection form must accompany the title and registration transaction

Areas inspected for compliance are:

  • Plumbing and Waste Systems
  • Heating System
  • Electrical System
  • Fire Detection Equipment

There is a fee associated with this inspection.
